YoCream International with headquarters, dairy and
manufacturing facility in Portland, OR was established in 1977. Acquired by The Dannon Company, Inc. in 2010. YoCream is a pioneer and leading producer of frozen yogurt, desserts and beverages. The Company produces, markets and sells its signature frozen yogurt, tart frozen yogurt and frozen custard mixes under the YoCream® brand. The Company also produces and sells smoothie and frozen drink mixes as well as frozen beverage syrups.

YoCream’s 115,000 sq. ft. state of the art manufacturing plant is a fully licensed dairy. YoCream pasteurizes under USDA certification and inspection, organic certification, and kosher certification. The manufacturing plant has four distinct packaging operations – half gallon gable top filler
line, aseptic and ESL bag-in-box line, and beverage syrup line – all capable of simultaneous operation. Products can be packaged in a multitude of sizes, styles, and finished casings. The Company has a history of developing great products for the foodservice market and the manufacturing processes are complemented by a fully staffed on-site Research and Development Department.

The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Department ensures the most stringent levels of regulatory compliance are maintained, meeting and exceeding all inspection standards of USDA, FDA, military, customer food safety audits, aseptic processing standards, export requirements, and kosher and organic certification. The Company follows a HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) program based on guidelines set forth by the NACMCF (National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods), NCIMS (National Conference of Interstate Milk Shipments) and IDFA (International Dairy Foods Association)YoCream offers more than 30 years’ experience in providing solutions to the foodservice market.

YoCream’s end-user customers number in the thousands and include marquee convenience stores, quality quick service restaurants, warehouse stores, prestigious eating establishments, large grocery chains, frozen yogurt shops, colleges, military and government foodservice locations, international restaurants and neighborhood stores. The Company markets its products through a direct sales force supported by an inside sales and customer service team and telemarketing staff as well as qualified foodservice brokers. YoCream products are distributed through associations with over 370 domestic distributors including national and regional broad line distributors, specialty distributors and dairies. The Company’s Logistics Department coordinates national and international distribution with national and independent carriers and consolidators shipping from the Northwest as well as hub in Dallas, TX. YoCream products are exported to an ever growing list of countries including: Australia, Canada, China, Dubai, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Norway, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.

The Company’s product line features over 85 soft serve frozen yogurt flavors including Nonfat, Lowfat, Premium, No Sugar Added, and Tart™ varieties. All YoCream Frozen Yogurts are carefully crafted to contain one of the highest counts of beneficial probiotic live and active yogurt cultures and exceed the requirements set forth by the National Yogurt Association (NYA). YoCream Frozen Yogurts actually meet and exceed the NYA’s requirements set forth for cup refrigerated yogurt, and YoCream is proud to display the Live and Active Cultures seal on all of its frozen yogurt products. YoCream also produces soft serve sorbets, and frozen custard. The smoothie category includes frozen yogurt and fruit mixes for frozen beverage dispensers and blenders used in the preparation of smoothies, frozen drinks and ice teas. The frozen beverage category includes Jolly Rancher™ syrups for frozen carbonated and un-carbonated machine dispensing.
